For decades, Camperdown Academy has led the way in structured literacy instruction, grounded in the Orton-Gillingham (OG) Approach. Since 1986, every teacher at the academy has been trained in this evidence-based, prescriptive, sequential, and multisensory approach. As the broader educational community embraces structured literacy through programs like LETRS, Camperdown’s consistent instructional practices are now being recognized and sought after. This session will highlight the academy’s long-standing commitment to the OG Approach, the impact of their practices, and the growing demand for workshops and trainings from schools seeking to implement similar strategies in their own classrooms.
